Then City managed the second half, often controlling possession and keeping Man United at bay. The Red Devils brought on three attacking subs, but they could not affect the match, and Man United meekly succumbed to their rivals. The result keeps Manchester City in the English Premier League title race, only three points out of first, but Manchester United finds itself nine points off the pace from league-leading Chelsea....

That’s 67 vs. one. You’d still have to think about it, though. If it’s Gonzaga or someone else from the field, that’s an easy answer. Gonzaga has been the best team in the nation, one of the best in several years. That does not mean it’s infallible. Hopefully everyone learned their lesson with the last of couple infallible teams. But the Zags are the team with the best opportunity to win the NCAA championship....

Yes, March matters. March is a blast. March is where legacies are made. But conference play is a blast too, and anyone who says a league championship doesn’t matter ought to try selling that nonsense to former Purdue coach Gene Keady. He’s in his 80s, but I wouldn’t talk that mess around him. Of course, not all conference races are created equal. Some include more legitimate contenders. An imposing favorite in one conference is more imposing than the favorite of another....

Yes, as the current number four starter on the American League’s most exciting team, Marco Estrada could very easily toe the rubber in the most important Blue Jays game since the year after I was born. Well no matter how hard it is to believe, we are 7th in the league and that’s our likely finishing position. Our home form has been abysmal and even though we have the best away record in the league we have not managed to beat any team above us in the Premier League except for Arsenal. It’s been a catastrophe at Old Trafford and the most painful season we have endured in a long long time....
