The Leafs sent the 30th overall pick in the draft and a second-round pick in the 2017 draft for Andersen, who went 22-9-7 record with a 2.30 goals-against-average and .919 save-percentage in 43 games (37 starts) last season with the Ducks.

Set to become a restricted free agent, the 26-year-old Andersen reportedly signed a five-year contract with the Leafs to complete the transaction, becoming the team’s No. 1 goalie.
Andersen is 77-26-12 in his career with a 2.33 goals-against-average and .918 save-percentage. He also holds a 17-9-2 career post-season record.
While the Ducks lose the $1.3 million bargain of Andersen, the club still owns the rights to outstanding goalie John Gibson, who was 21-13-4 with a 2.07 goals-against-average and a .920 save-percentage in 40 games last season.
