Dexerto got the details on Mandy Rose’s exit, including her feelings on the whole affair and how things may have come about—with Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com commenting on what caused it in the first place.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, “WWE officials felt they were put in a tough position based on the content she was posting on her FanTime page. They felt like it was outside of the parameters of her WWE deal.” Such a claim leaves room for speculation on if it was what Rose was doing during her private time outside of the ring that bothered the WWE so much, or the fact that she was making money doing it, being celebrated by FanTime in December of 2022 for making over $1 million that month—consequently the same month she lost her NXT Women’s bout with Roxanne Perez and was given her walking papers. Such an income would have given her way more leverage with the WWE than they originally had if they weren’t her sole method of breadwinning.
Mandy Rose had this to say: “I am hurt. 100%. I am very hurt,” clarifying that it was the firing that hurt more than anything. As for her time with the WWE she was more positive, praising the experience for helping her start a career and advancing as far as she did: “Everything happens for a reason. I can’t even say I was wronged, because I am so forever grateful for everything WWE has presented me with.” It’s a very charitable attitude towards a group that gave her the boot with little fanfare around the whole deal. Still, if Mandy Rose is happy with her time at the WWE, nobody can say differently.
Wrestling is a fickle game where the division between executives and the wrestlers themselves can be vast. Stars can maybe spread their time between wrestling organizations like AEW and the WWE as Manny Lemons recently did—if they’re lucky. Spread their time in other venues, however, and like Mandy Rose did on her private FanTime account, and they can be ousted from their contract altogether.
