Manchester United should sign defender
Former Liverpool star Danny Murphy thinks that Manchester United should look to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham. The Belgian had previously been linked with the Old Trafford outfit but couldn’t agree upon a fee with Spurs.
However, the former Southampton star is going to be available for £25 million in the upcoming transfer window and Murphy thinks that United should trigger it because they need an experienced center-back like Virgil Van Dijk is for Liverpool and Vincent Kompany for Manchester City.
He then went on to state that the Red Devils should also think about the future and sign someone who has the potential to be one of the best players in the world somewhere down the line.
As a result, he has suggested the Red Devils to sign Ajax star Matthijs De Ligt, who has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Neville endorses Tielemans
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville thinks that Youri Tielemans would be a good signing for a top six club. He believes that a lot of top six clubs need their midfield renovated.
Neville thinks that the midfielder would be available for only £40 million and has already proven himself in the Premier League, making him a very good signing. He also believes that it would be very difficult for the Foxes to keep the superstar since there are many clubs that may want him.
Ashley Barnes to Liverpool?
Burnley forward Ashley Barnes has revealed that Jurgen Klopp told him that he would sign him for Liverpool next season if he scores against Manchester City. The match, however, ended 1-0 in favour of the Citizens.
He stated that Liverpool fans have sent him messages and that it would mean a lot if Burnley win against City. He then revealed that Jurgen Klopp sent him a text saying that he might sign him for the Reds if Barnes is able to score against the Etihad outfit.
De Ligt on the move
One of the most sort after defenders in the world right now is Matthijs De Ligt. He has been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs but according to the player himself, he hasn’t made decision regarding his future, stating that he is only focused on finishing this season with Ajax right now.
He also added that he doesn’t think he would be more expensive than Frenkie De Jong as the latter is a midfielder and they are usually more expensive than defenders. He, however, doesn’t know anything for sure yet as the final decision lays in the hand of Ajax.
