Manchester United have recently finalised a multi-year regional sponsorship deal with soft drinks giant PepsiCo. The deal makes PepsiCo the official soft drinks partner of the club in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei.
PepsiCo will have exclusive rights to use the Manchester United branding on its products in these seven countries. The English club has an estimated fan base of over 38 million in these countries and PepsiCo is looking to use the club’s popularity to gain a stronghold in these markets, as reported by ManUtd.com.
Manchester United has a global fan base of over 659 million followers and was named the richest club in the world by Forbes for nine consecutive years till last year.
